Gas and heating

Gas is supplied from underground tanks buried in the back garden of each barn under a meter wide cover.

The gas is piped to the side of each barn with an isolating valve that feeds the combi boiler. This runs the hot water, underfloor heating and radiators upstairs.

The gas also feeds into the kitchen to run the gas hobs. Ovens are electric.

The cost of running a three bedroom barn going on past conversions, would be in the region of £1,700 per year.

Underfloor heating

This is split into 3 zones regulated with individual smart thermostats which can be controlled by your mobile.

Radiators

Upstairs each radiator has its own manual thermostat.

Electricity

The supplier is National Grid.

Smart meters are fitted in all the barns.

Towel rails in all bathrooms and cloakrooms run on electric.

There are ample double plugs sockets in all the rooms including USB sockets in the kitchen, lounge and bedrooms. For more detailed information please get in touch.

Wood burners

Every barn has a 5kw wood burner in the sitting room. This sits on beautiful slate slab.

A wood burner brings a welcome warmth and cosy country ambience to you living space and something we consider essential in all our barn conversions.

You will have a complimentary bag of our own, home grown, beautifully air-dried, logs to start you off with your log fires.
