We do what we can to retain the authentic character of our barn conversions by carefully selecting our design details
Walls
The newly plastered finishes are to be soft and very slightly roughened to mimic old lime plastered walls. There are strictly no modern sharp, hard on the eye, corners anywhere. Where possible large rounded corners are created to make access super easy.
Where walls meet windows they gently curve into them as in an old barn or cottage.
Plastered walls will be painted soft white.
The old stone walls have been retained everywhere possible. These are pointed in and add a wonderful ambience bringing a sense of history to the conversion.
Wood burners
Every barn will have a 5kw wood burner in the sitting room. This will sit on beautiful slate slab.
A wood burner brings a welcome warmth and cosy country ambience to you living space and something we consider essential in all our barn conversions.
You will have a complimentary bag of our own, home grown, beautifully air-dried, logs to start you off with your log fires.
